MUSIC Alive in Purton is set to receive a £3,000 donation from the Lloyds TSB Founda-tion.
The charity, which is based at Bentham House, helps people with disabilities communicate through music.
A spokesman said: "We are extremely pleased to have gained the support of the foundation to help finance its provision of exciting musical workshops.
"For some people to come and play music here is the highlight of their week."
In all, the foundation has donated £341,921 to charities across the southwest.
Its regional manager, Rodney Thorne, said: "We have supported more than 330 charities this year and the money has gone right to the heart of local communities, helping to make a positive difference where it is really needed."
