Swindon's Great Western Hospital is filled with beautiful, exotic blooms to cheer up any winter gloom.

The flowers are the creation of photographer Boo Beau-mont, who has compiled a pictorial exhibition of flowers in both colour print and X-ray.

The display includes a collection of images of tulips, roses and anemones.

Boo, who lives in Marlbor-ough, has worked with the Radiology Department to produce stunning X-rays, which show the inner beauty of flowers.

She said: "My aim in making these images is to convey the beguiling beauty of each flower by exploring the delicate surface, texture, rhythmical shapes of line and form."

The Gallery is on the ground floor immediately behind the Atrium and is open from 6pm to 8pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 6pm at the weekend.

The exhibition runs until January 30.
