How strange the workings of the Home Office. I refer to 'Inna loses battle to stay in England' (EA Dec 2).
Several weeks ago an asylum-seeker was sent down for 12 years for rape with a recommendation that he be deported immediately after serving his sentence.
Someone saw fit, however, to overturn the latter decision arguing that it 'violated his human rights'.
What a contrast to Inna Haville's plight! The young lady has been here for five years and faces deportation. Her terrible crime?
Her parents abandoned her at the tender age of 11 to an orphanage.
It's a cliche I know but the mind really does boggle at their lack of simple wisdom.
