Ref. 28227-2STUDENTS at Swindon College made it a Christmas to remember for Brimble Hill School pupils when they organised a party.
"It was the best party that has been organised for our children," said support teacher Sue Podmore.
"Every single child was happy and contented. They all had a really wonderful time."
"The students were really professional. They had every aspect catered for."
She said they had even made sure there was a video screen for autistic youngsters and a well-designed pin the nose on the reindeer game. Even the presents were well chosen.
The students, who are studying for the Advanced Vocational Certificate in Education, planned the party on Wednesday and raised £190 to pay for it.
Their personal tutor, Jean Lewis, said the group had to choose a project each year for their health and social care course, which involved working with people.
"I am extremely proud of them," she said. "I think they did a super job."
They decided on the school in Lyndhurst Crescent, because several of them were due to have work placements there.
They raised the cash by washing cars, running a raffle and having a guess the name of the moose competition.
They then got catering and hospitality students to provide and serve the party food for the 14 guests and their helpers.
Santa, in the shape of programme leader Jim Hall, also handed out presents.
