SAMMY IGOE'S likely inclusion against Plymouth Argyle tomorrow will leave a delighted Andy King with a full complement of fit and suspension-free troops for the first time since August.
The 28-year-old midfielder (pictured right) was awaiting the results of a scan carried out on his damaged wrist last night as he headed for training this morning.
He is adamant that unless the result is 'life threatening' he will put himself forward for selection against Argyle.
Igoe said: "I've had the scan and I should be in the picture by the end of today.
"My view hasn't changed though. I am determined to play."
King admits he cannot wait to see the diminutive midfielder back in action.
He accepts there is a risk but he is looking forward with optimism.
He said: "Sammy Igoe is certainly at the forefront of my mind.
"I think the scan will only say that if he falls on the injury, he could cause himself the same sort of damage."
However, King feels Igoe's shape, size and natural ability combined with a bit of luck can keep him clear of further problems until an operation to properly rectify the damage in the summer.
He said: "He's got such great balance and a low centre of gravity that I don't see it as being a major problem.
"I'd be more concerned if he was a defender or a striker where you are getting knocked and it's a more bustling role.
"We have to bear in mind that he's not match fit but he's such a good, exciting little player."
If Igoe does make the final 16 for the Pilgrims' clash, it will give King the rare luxury of having a full squad to pick from.
That means no-one is guaranteed a start.
He said: "It's probably the first time since the start of the season that I've been in this position."
A full squad means selection headaches for the manager.
Matty Heywood is available once again while Rory Fallon has made a big impression on King during training.
He said: "It's picking personnel and then looking at the system to play.
"Rory Fallon is very close to being involved. His attitude has been fantastic. He's come in worked hard and is getting better every day in training as his confidence grows. It won't be long for him.
"I have three strikers who want to score goals for this football club and that's a healthy situation to have. Goalkeepers have to keep clean sheets, defenders have to defend and strikers have to score goals."
King had tinkered with the idea of experimenting with Mooney in a role behind the front two for tomorrow's match had Igoe been completely ruled out but neither manager nor striker seem keen to pursue that option any further.
