ZURICH delivered Christmas early for The Prospect Hospice when, accompanied by contractors from Huntswood, they served up a generous cheque for £2,367 together with elevenses.
Staff from Swindon-based Zurich and their contractor colleagues from Huntswood, who support the company with technical services, presented the cheque yesterday to David Line, general manager of the hospice at its Wroughton headquarters.
Rob Thomas, Huntswood's project manager said: "We were so impressed by Zurich's attitude to charity and the activities undertaken by staff in Swindon, that my colleagues and I wanted to do something too."
Said Mr Line: "This is a very welcome boost to our funds and will assist our services supporting patients and their families in the local community."
Chris Staples, director of community affairs said: "Over half of Zurich's employees regularly donate their time to support the local community and it 's rewarding to see our enthusiasm rub off on others."
