Ref. 28237-29SANTA is alive and well and living in Gorse Hill and working hard to raise cash for the Prospect Hospice.
Jayne and John Flatt, whose home in Gipsy Lane currently boasts a grotto, have managed to accumulate more than £800 in donations since December 1.
"We have even had articulated lorries stopping so drivers can put some money in the bucket," said Mrs Flatt.
The couple's son Robert, 11, has also entered into the spirit of the occasion. Each evening he dons an elf costume and helps his dad take donations.
"Originally he wanted to be a snow man, but that was a bit difficult, so he decided to be an elf he drew the line at wearing tights though!" she added.
The couple plan to keep collecting until Christmas Eve.
