NIGEL Tripp is promising to ring the changes ahead of Melksham Town's game at home to second placed Brislington in the Screwfix Direct League Premier Division tomorrow.

The Melksham manager slammed his team's lack of fight in their 3-1 defeat at Keynsham on Wednesday and says the players he drops can have no argument with him.

Brislington have lost just twice all season and Tripp knows a repeat of Wednesday's performance will see his team staring at a place in the bottom three.

He said: "Everyone now has got to roll their sleeves up and work hard for each other.

"We can't go into games blowing hot and cold as we have been doing.

"We've had just one point out of nine and that's not good enough.

"Wednesday night was very disappointing. The players just let themselves down really.

"They looked as if they wanted it a bit more than we did.

"We were sloppy at the back although Brian Kayll was probably our best player.

"The players will have to realise that we need to win these sorts of games if we are to avoid getting sucked into the relegation battle."

Simon Price is set to return to the side tomorrow after being rested on Wednesday with a groin strain. But Steve Casey looks likely to be out for along period with the same injury.

Tripp added: "Gordon Smith is available again, but Dean Ranger is still suspended. He was missed on Wednesday night."

Bradford Town striker Tom Pang had a promising debut for Melksham on Wednesday, but it is unlikely he will make a permanent move to the Conigre.

Tripp said: "I'd like to thank Bradford for letting us play Tom Pang. I know the player from his Sunday League days and I spoke to the Bradford manager about getting him for this game.

"He did not look out of place at all and hopefully this will be good experience for him when he plays in the Wiltshire League this weekend. It was his first game at that level.

"We just had him on a one off basis, but as long as his club knows what is going on I'd like to use him again. He is very loyal to Bradford and hopefully in the future we'll be able to do them a favour as well."

Brislington go into tomorrow's clash off the back of a 2-0 victory at Devizes Town and have the best defensive record in the Screwfix Premier. They have conceded only 11 goals in 14 matches and just three of these have come in their six away games. The club has also been boosted this week with the signing of ex-Bristol Rovers player Jamie Shore.
