A former RAF engineer who set up a village website as a hobby has won an international award.
Andy Humm's Lyneham Wiltshire & Beyond site has received a silver award from the US-based World Wide Web Awards.
The website, at www.lynehamvillage.com, receives nearly 3,000 hits per week.
"It's outstanding, considering it's only a small village," said 44-year-old Mr Humm, who spends about two hours per night keeping it up-to-date.
He also receives about 50 emails each day from users in countries as far flung as Australia and South Africa.
The Lyneham resident is currently working on a new feature for the site, planned to go live in the New Year, which will enable users to buy produce over their computers.
Mr Humm is used to receiving awards by now, having already picked up a Golden Web award and a UK Village Website of the Year award.
But despite the accolades, Mr Humm's award-winning skills have yet to find him employment, and he still hopes to find a job in web design.
