BUSINESS leaders have pledged their support to the development of Westbury town centre.
Westbury Chamber of Commerce has donated £1,200 to the councillors and announced its backing of the recent town centre development plan.
The plan was the culmination of six months' work by Anna Crosbie, town centre development manager, and aims to improve and promote the town centre.
Russell Willis, president of Westbury Chamber of Commerce, said: "Representing its member businesses, Westbury Chamber of Commerce hopes that by assisting the council in this way, the town centre environment will be improved for the local community.
"The Chamber of Commerce anticipates that its co-operation with Anna Crosbie and the Westbury Area Action Group, will ensure a bright future for trade."
Current projects planned for the town include a 'pop to the shops' campaign and installing more maps in the main streets.
