Chairman of the governors Geoff Bladon-Howell has been on the board for five years and is one of the few to have witnessed the dark days.
"If you were a time traveller and could wander back a few years you would not recognise the place. It has changed that much.
"Speaking personally, I think Mrs Kalynka has been pivotal in addressing the key issues of the 1998 report.
"She is leading the school from the front and is extremely capable and dedicated.
"The staff, too, are doing their jobs well and making good progress.
"The changes have been rapid and they are all for the better.
"The only thing that has remained is the ethos that everybody helps each other.
"That comes from Nythe Primary being such a small school."
