IF any of your readers are thinking of buying a puppy for Christmas please be warned: puppy thieves work in Wiltshire.
On January 7 our beautiful 10-week-old Labrador Georgie was stolen from our car in West Lavington. She had only been left for five minutes and despite a massive search, a reward offered and police involvement, she has never been found.
Since her disappearance we have been in contact with people all over the country, who like us have had a dog stolen.
Just this week, a 16-week-old black Labrador called Louis was stolen from the Midlands the thieves broke into the house to get him.
If you are buying a puppy for Christmas please ensure it's microchipped immediately, at least then you can prove it belongs to you.
See it with its parents so you know it's not a stolen puppy, and most importantly don't leave it on its own not even for five minutes.
If anyone would like more information on how to help fight this cruel crime look on the website www.doglost.co.uk and register as a helper.
If any reader believes they may have innocently bought our puppy please contact me on 07800 875634 I just need to know she's safe and happy.
