PUPILS at Uplands special needs school, in Swindon, were invited to London to chat with some of the country's key decision makers.
The trip last Wednesday followed a visit by headteacher Mary Bishop, who had been asked to meet Colin Balmer, the managing director of the Cabinet Office to discuss provisions for the disabled.
During her visit she was asked to organise a poster competition to raise the profile of the European Year Of Disabled People.
Rebecca Lowe, 14, was the winner and was one of seven pupils to make the trip to the capital, where she was given a £50 gift voucher.
Mrs Bishop said: "We are proud of all the children they behaved perfectly."
