A TOTAL of 2,745 households in Swindon are expected to receive a pension credit worth £40.22 a week, according to figures released by the Government last week.
It has also been announced that anyone currently getting Pension Credit will be entitled to a £3 per week rise for singles and £5 a week for couples.
North Swindon MP Michael Wills said: "I urge all pensioners to take advantage of this scheme, which guarantees all of them a minimum income and rewards those who have missed out in the past because they have saved a little for retirement."
