BOTTOM club Devizes put up a brave fight in the under 16 Red Division of the Mid Wilts Youth League before falling to a 2-1 against Warminster Highbury.

Lewis Sparey and Sam Landry scored for Highbury with Joe Unsworth replying for Devizes.

Steven Birch gave home side AFC Corsham an early lead in their game against Pewsey Vale with the visitors levelling before the break.

Matty Ralph restored the Corsham lead and Birch netted his second to make it 3-1.

Cricklade were edged out in their Blue Division clash with Bemerton Heath, losing 2-0.

The mid-table under 15 Red Division clash between Rowde Youth and AFC Corsham ended all square at 2-2 with all goals scored in the first half.

Rowde took the lead twice through Andrew Cook and Anthony Butler but were pegged back on each occasion.

Calne Town Youth remain in second place, three points behind leaders Wroughton, after running out 3-1 winners against Warminster Highbury.

Lavington Bandits earned their second home win of the season with a convincing 12-4 home triumph against Durrington Rangers.

Jason Hood (6), Jack Fisher (4) and Alex Bishop (2) scored for Lavington.

FC Chippenham earned their fifth win of the season, beating Castle Combe Colts 3-1. Stephan Klukowski (2) and Charlie Aitkin scored for Chippenham with Chris Cox replying.

A closely-fought contest in the under 14 Blue Division saw Chippenham Town Youth beat Bath Arsenal 4-3.

Joe White scored a hat-trick and Craig Fisher was also on target for Town.

In the Green Division, a hat-trick from Danny Lovett and one for Sean Cartwright saw home side AFC Corsham run out 4-0 winners against Calne Town Youth.

Christmas came early for Matt Steelyard in the Red Division as the striker bagged six for Castle Combe Colts in their 8-1 home win over Melksham Park. James Brigham and Sam Tinson also scored for Combe.

Amesbury Juniors ran out 4-1 winners away to Marlborough Town, who scored the goal of the game when Oliver Roebuck hit a spectacular strike from the halfway line.

The under 13 Blue Division encounter between Chippenham Town Youth and visitors Melksham Park produced 13 goals with Chippenham winning 9-4.

Zak Klukowski (6), David Brown (2) and Callum Chamberlain scored for Chippenham.

AFC Corsham remain one point behind leaders Amesbury in the Red Division following their decisive 7-2 win against home side Shaw & Whitley.

Honours were even between Castle Combe and Chippenham Town Youth in the under 12 Blue Division.

Liam Clemence's second-half strike earned Town a 2-2 draw.

The top-of-the-table Red Division clash between Corsham and Devizes was surprisingly one-sided with the latter running our 7-1 winners.

Daniel Case and Sam Perrett gave Devizes an early two-goal lead.

Two further goals followed before the break with the pick of them being a stunning solo effort from Glynn Rowles and the other coming from Shea D'arcy.

Rowles and Case were on target again after the interval and a headed goal from Adam Pearce made it seven.
