Earlier this year you included a letter from me giving details of a new men's health initiative, Man@WWC.
This is based at the Health Hydro using the Well Woman Centre facilities. I am pleased to report that the initiative has got off to an excellent start.
The service is free and confidential. No appointment is needed, men can just drop in any time between 5.30 7.30pm on Thursday to discuss general health problems or concerns with a nurse or to access the listening service if they have problems of a non-medical nature.
We are now seeking men to work as volunteers at the weekly session. They would be asked to welcome visitors, offer tea or coffee, help with form-filling and recording and chat to clients. Training will be given.
If anyone is interested they should call Lynette at the Well Woman Centre on 01793 511064.
