Ref. 28306-79AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a bus ploughed into an empty bus shelter on Queens Drive.
No one was at the stop when the accident happened at about 10.30am yesterday, but bus operator Thamesdown Transport is refusing to state if any passengers were on board.
However Swindon police spokeswoman Alvina Kumar said: "There were no injuries, although there was extensive damage to shelter."
Thamesdown's operations director David Birch said he was unable to comment as he did not wish to prejudice the investigation his firm had launched.
