THE kicking from hand of Matt Spurway set up the first and last tries as Chippenham 3rd overcame their Wootton Bassett counterparts 31-12.
Spurway chipped the ball over the defence to set up the opener for Ben Chamberlain, Alun Jones converting, and his kick also created a debut try for Gareth Jones late on.
In between, Alun Jones scored a pushover try, then combined with James Cook to set up Jon Billet.
Bassett hit back with a converted score from second row Stacey Cohen, converted by Jack Ricketts, before half-time and added another after the break, as flanker Gareth Walbyoff crossed.
