The Rotary Club of Chippenham is organising a flower arranging contest to begin celebrations for its Rotary Centenary Year.

Entries are now invited for the event, which will take place over the weekend of July 17-19 2004.

Flower arranging clubs in the area are invited to put arrangements in St Andrew's Church on Friday July 16 on the theme of A Hundred Years of Service.

Interested clubs will be supplied with details of the Rotary organisation and what it has achieved over the 100 years.

The main prize will be donated by Phillips Bodyworks of Yatton Keynell, in memory of the late Tony Phillips who was a Rotary Club president, as well as a cash prize for the winners and runner-up.

Anyone interested in taking part in the contest should contact Rotarian Ken Hulbert, 21, Sadlers Mead, Chippenham SN153PA.
