WILTSHIRE Vice Presidents' Bowls Association crashed to a heavy defeat in their final game of 2003.
Entertaining Berkshire VPs on the indoor green at North Wilts (Chippenham) they were beaten 145-101.
Despite Dave Edmunds' and Tom Pegler's rinks recording 25-12 and 34-20 wins respectively, Wilts VPs were still soundly beaten going down by 44 shots.
The VPs' first match in 2004 is against Oxfordshire VPs at Westlecot IBC on Sunday, January 11.

Rink 1: Les Cousins lost 14-25; Rink 2: Adrian Wood lost 13-29; Rink 3: Jim Hunter lost 11-21; Rink 4: Alan Penfold lost 4-38; Rink 5: Dave Edmunds won 25-12; Rink 6: Tom Pegler won 34-20.
WESTLECOT and Thamesdown take a Christmas break from Wessex League action.
Their next games in the East Region section will also be held on Sunday, January 11.
Second-placed Westlecot play Oxford City and County while Thamesdown face a tough encounter as they meet group leaders Carterton.
