KEEN bird-watchers can explore the winter wildlife at Cotswold Water Park.
Rangers will conduct a guided walk of Shorncote Reed Bed, which was the first site in the Cotswold Water Park to be restored specifically for nature conservation.
As it matures and develops, it is providing a unique home for an array of wildlife, including, water birds such as tufted ducks, pochards and shovelers.
Other winter favourites there include smew, reed buntings and snipe.
Gareth Harris, biodiversity officer at the park, said: "Shorncote Reed Bed is a delightful location, and with the second new bird hide on the lakes here, is an ideal location for a morning of birdwatching.
"As well as the more common birds, there is often something unusual to see here, such as peregrine falcons or merlins dashing around. So come along, you never know what you might see there."
The walk takes place on Sunday. Participants should meet at 10am at the Millennium Visitors Centre, Keynes Country Park just off the Spine Road in the Western Cotswold Water Park.
Walkers should wear suitable clothing and boots.
