A flyaway goshawk has been spotted several times over the skies of Swindon.
Falconer Tony Ellis (pictured) appealed to Evening Advertiser readers last month after his beloved bird Mel went fly-about at Elcombe Hall Farm, near Wroughton.
Since then eagle-eyed readers have contacted the Advertiser office with sightings of another hawk.
Three-year-old Mel, who lived in an aviary in Mr Ellis' garden and weighs 2.5lbs, is microchipped and has a radio transmitter attached to her tail but the battery is believed to have run down.
She also has leather straps with bells attached to her legs.
Mr Ellis, 43, a mechanic, of Grittenham, near Wootton Bassett, said: "I haven't given up hope yet. I know I'll get her back one day. But people keep seeing the other bird it's not Mel."
Mel has a brown back with a white chest. The second bird is darker in colour with black and white stripes on its chest.
If anyone has spotted Mel call Mr Ellis on 01666 510067 or 07887561520.
