Chippenham stores brought some Christmas magic into the town centre with a host of imaginative and decorative shop window designs.
And the pick of the crop were celebrated in a festive competition organised by Chippenham Town Council and the Town Centre Partnership sub committee. Judges were looking for the most seasonal and eye-catching displays in two categories, for national and independent stores.
The winner in the national section was Haine and Smith, for its wintry display, with reindeer and a frosty feel. The independent winners were solicitors Jeary and Lewis, who caught the judges' attention with their traditional decorations and Christmas judge.
The Mayor of Chippenham, Coun Desna Allen, awarded the trophies and certificates on Monday.
"The competition is a bit of fun and a reward to the retailers and businesses for all their hard work decorating for Christmas," said Emma King, the town council's events and promotions officer.
Second place in the independent section went to the Jolly Miller Caf.
