MESSAGES of Christmas cheer will be delivered by hand to houses around Sherston by Cubs, Brownies and Scouts this weekend.
The last post will be at 11am this Saturday at the boxes at the school, doctor's surgery and FS Tuck the butcher and greengrocer.
A group of 12 youngsters will then hand-deliver hundreds of Christmas cards in the village all for the sum of 10p
Cub leader Anthony Price said it was a festive tradition loved by all.
He said: "I think the people in the village who use the postal service enjoy it as much as the we do ourselves.
On Saturday afternoon the envelopes are sorted, then each Scout, Guide or Cub is sent out on Sunday with a parent to deliver the post.
Mr Price said: "It is more about the service to the community everybody enjoys rather than the amount of money we make."
