LAVERSTOCK & Ford started the better team in this clash for a place in the semi-finals of the Lord Bledisloe Cup.
Laverstock put a lot of pressure on their opponents and the first goal came just before the end of the first half.
Dom Male got a shot in from the edge of the box, it was picked up by Nick Newman who spun with the ball and poked it in the corner of the net to give Laverstock the lead.
The second half started with end to end possession with both teams looking for a crucial goal.
Meadow Park were on form for the counter attacks and finally got a break down the left hand side, where Matt Trollope found himself clear, a neat shot into the far corner beat Darren Massie in the Laverstock goal and Park were level.
Eventually Male's good position at the back post headed home a flick on from a cross on the right wing. Laverstock managed to hold on to their lead, despite Park having a goal disallowed for offside.
An entertaining game considering the weather conditions but Laverstock proved the stronger team and they now take their place in the semis.
