RICHARD Hill will captain England for the first time in Saturday's clash with the New Zealand Barbarians at Twickenham, following injury to Phil Vickery.
The former Bishop Wordsworth's School pupil, a member of last month's World Cup winning team, will then join his team mates in a victory parade around the home of the English game following the final whistle. Because the fixture is not an official test match under IRB rules, England head coach Clive Woodward was unable to select a full-strength team.
Woodward has invited all spectators lucky enough to have a ticket for the match to wear something white in attempt to match the wonderous scenes in Sydney during the final against Australia.
The coach said: "The game itself will be a great spectacle, but I'm delighted to say that the whole England RWC squad including Martin Johnson, Jonny Wilkinson and Lawrence Dallaglio will be parading the Webb Ellis Cup around the stadium for a lap of honour after the game."
Regular captain Johnson is being rested.
