Ref. 24270Honda has come out tops in a list of this year's best TV commercials.
Its innovative 'cog' advertisement, in which the myriad of car components which make up its Accord model are seen to interact with each other, was considered the best by ad industry magazine Campaign.
Filmed in Paris, the commercial required more than 600 individual takes to capture the two minutes of 'live' footage (no digital effects were used). First screened back in April, it was immediately hailed as one of the greatest adverts of all time.
At the time, Matt Coombe, Honda UK's communications manager said: "The reaction to it has been out of this world. It has just been completely overwhelming."
However, other advertising campaigns didn't fare so well in Campaign magazine's review of the year's best and worst commercials. These include the ads for easyjet , Glade air freshener and Currys, if people can remember them.
