BOTTOM of the table Devizes Town Youth gave a great team performance against top of the table Warminster Highbury in the under 16s Red Division of the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League before going down to a narrow defeat.

In a very close game Highbury ran out 2-1 winners.

Lewis Sparey and Sam Landry scored for Highbury, with Joe Unsworth replying for Devizes.

Steven Birch gave AFC Corsham an early lead in their home game against Pewsey Vale, with Pewsey levelling before the break. Matty Ralph regained the lead for the home side before Birch's second completed the scoring and the game at 3-1 to Corsham.

Under 16s Blue Division

JACK Slade put Bemerton Heath Harlequins 1-0 up at the interval from the penalty spot in their home game against Cricklade.

The visitors fought back well to get back into the game in the in the second half of a well contested game before a second goal by Docking sealed a 2-0 win for Bemerton.

Under 15s Red Division

THE midtable battle between Rowde Youth and visitors AFC Corsham ended all square at 2-2 with all goals scored in the first half.

Rowde took the lead twice with quick replies from Corsham. Andrew Cook and Anthony Butler scored for Rowde.

Calne Town Youth remain in second place, three points behind leaders Wroughton, after running out 3-1 winners at Warminster Highbury. Nick Sleeman scored for Highbury.

Lavington Bandits earned their second home win of the season with a convincing 12-4 home win against Durrington Rangers. Lavington's goals came from Jason Hood (6), Jack Fisher (4) and Alex Bishop (2).

FC Chippenham earned their fifth win of the season by running out 3-1 winners over local rivals Castle Combe Colts. Stephan Klukowski 2 and Charlie Aitkin scored for FC, with Chris Cox replying for Castle Combe.

Under 14s Blue Division

A VERY closely fought contest between Bath Arsenal and Chippenham Town Youth saw Chippenham eventual 4-3 winners with goals from Joe White (3) and Craig Fisher.

Under 14s Green Division

TWO fine goals from Tom Cassin-Davis secured the points for Worton and Cheverell in their keenly contested home match against Amesbury Juniors.

The game was very finely balanced from the start, with the home side leading by a single goal at the interval.

Amesbury levelled early in the second half but Worton swiftly replied after some fine play out of defence through midfield and finished with a well executed strike. Worton battled to hold the advantage with great performances from Tom Walsh, Joost Lacey, Toby Mullins and Andy Sims.

A hat-trick for Danny Lovett and one for Sean Cartwright saw home side AFC Corsham run out 4-0 winners against Calne Town Youth.

Under 12s Red Division

CHRISTMAS came early for Matt Steelyard, who scored six times for Castle Combe Colts in their 8-1 home win over Melksham Park 2nds.

James Brigham and Sam Tinson also scored for Castle Combe.

Amesbury Juniors ran out 4-1 winners away to Marlborough Town. Marlborough were not down-hearted as their goal was the best of the season so far, with Oliver Roebuck scoring a spectacular goal from the half way line.

Under 13s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Town Youth found the going tougher than they expected in their away game against Pewsey Vale, but took a narrow 1-0 lead at the interval.

Pewsey brought the game level from the restart then held on until the last ten minutes when Trowbridge put two in the back of the net to finish 3-1 winners. James Guthrie scored for Pewsey.

The midtable clash between Chippenham Town Youth and visitors Melksham Park produced a very exciting 13 goal thriller with Chippenham taking the honours with a 9-4 final score. Zak Klukowski (6), David Brown (2) and Callum Chamberlain scored for Chippenham.

Under 13s Green Division

JAMIE Castle (2), Danny Walton (2), Josh Hardy and Daniel Jones all scored for Durrington Rangers in their 6-1 home win against Chippenham Town Rangers.

Chippenham Town Youth went to Westbury full of confidence on the back of their 9-2 win against Bromham last week and looking to close the gap on a Westbury side who are second in the division and with only one defeat in the last 13 months.

The game lived up to all expectations with a performance from both sides that will be hard to better this season.

In the first half both sides rattled the wood work as they battled for the upper hand.

The second half saw Westbury awarded a penalty, which was converted by Steve Smart and goal from winger Lee Newman before Chippenham scored with five minutes to go sparking a mini revival.

Both sides should be proud of their performance and were a good advert for youth football at any level.

Under 13s Red Division

SECOND from bottom Castle Combe Colts gave leaders Amesbury Juniors a run for their money in a very evenly contested game which saw the home side lead 2-0 at one point and go in 3-2 up at the break.

The game was end to end in the second half with both team trading goals but with Amesbury snatching the winner in the last minute to finish 6-5 winners.

AFC Corsham remain one point behind leaders Amesbury following their decisive 7-2 win against home side Shaw and Whitley. Dan Moore and Alex Bentham-Cooke scored for Shaw.

Under 12s Blue Division

CASTLE Combe took the lead in their away game against Chippenham Town Youth before Elliot Cort equalised.

Just before the break Chippenham had the chance to take the lead from the penalty spot but the ball was fired wide.

Castle Combe regained the lead midway through the second half before Liam Clemence equalised for the home side to finish the game at 2-2.

Under 12s Red Division

WHITE Horse Juniors held leaders Calne Town Youth to a 1-1 score line at the mid way point in their home game.

This typical derby match continued on an even keel with both sides taking their chances well but two late goals from the visitors saw them take all three points with a 5-3 final score.

Mike Coulson 2, Matthew Smart, Michael Gratton and Sam Pageat scored for Calne, with Josh King-Archer, Aaron Crossley and Jordan Brooks replying for White Horse.

Under 11s Red Division

THE top of the table clash between Corsham and Devizes did not quite live up to its billing, with Corsham running out with a depleted squad of just ten men.

The game started brightly for Devizes, who went 2-0 up inside ten minutes with goals from Daniel Case and Sam Perrett.

Two further goals followed before the break with the pick of them being a stunning solo effort from Glynn Rowles and the other coming from a very hard working Shea D'arcy.

After the break Devizes continued to pressure the Corsham goal and three more goals followed, with Glynn Rowles and Daniel Case each completing a brace and Adam Pearce netting with a header.

A well taken from goal Tom Smith was Corsham's only consolation with the final score at 7-1.
