IMPROVEMENTS are on the way at Devizes Town Football Club after nearly £4,000 was raised at the recent Christmas ball.
On December 6 the gymnasium at the Nursteed Road ground was transformed by an indoor marquee donated by Wallace Marquees. Organiser Andy Trusler's own company, APT Electrics, was the main sponsor of the evening.
Club chairman Phil Rossiter said: "We thank them enormously for making the evening such a success. We raised £2,795 directly from the ball and another £1,000 from the bar."
Mr Rossiter also thanked other sponsors of the ball, including Wilts Wholesale Electrics, Chantry TV Ltd, Mike Wood Tyres, Jim Lynch at the Bar OC, Philip O'Shea, Avon Trophies, Moore of Devizes, the Black Swan Hotel and Emergilite.
