DEVIZES troublemaker Darren Waldie has been sent to prison for five months after breaching his anti-social behaviour order for the second time.
Waldie, 33, of Waiblingen Way, is the second person in Devizes to be given an anti-social behaviour order following a crackdown on loutish behaviour.
The order was imposed by Chippenham magistrates on November 21 following Waldie's conviction on a number of drink-related offences. One of the conditions of the order banned Waldie from entering licensed premises, yet less than a week later he breached the order when he was found in the Dolphin Inn in Northgate Street by police officers. He was fined £50 with £43 costs for the breach.
Waldie was arrested again on December 3 when police found him drinking alcohol outside the One Stop shop in the Market Place.
Inspector Pete Bowerbank of Devizes police said it sent a strong message to other troublemakers. "This is a considerable prison sentence and demonstrates how seriously all those in the criminal justice system regard anti-social behaviour."
