ONE of Swindon's best-known choirs is to sing around the Christmas tree at the Roves Farm visitor centre, in Seven-hampton.
About 30 members of the Kentwood Choir will perform favourite carols from 6.30pm on Monday.
Farm owner Rupert Burr said: "There will be no formal charge or tickets for the event and people are welcome to just roll up on the night.
"However, any donations made by the audience will be welcomed and given to charity."
Choir director Sheila Harrod put the idea to the singers after she visited the centre, which offers the public the chance to see farm animals and farming techniques close-up, in the autumn.
It also boasts a seasonal Christmas grotto.
She said: "I felt that the visitor centre would make a wonderful venue for a carol concert.
"We want it to be a family event, so we are hoping everybody will bring along their children as well."
Traditional mince pies and mulled wine will be available after the concert.
