CHRISTMAS hampers containing turkeys and puddings were handed over to 80 Swindon pensioners this week.
The hampers were provided by Intel as part of its community involvement programme.
Krystyna Nowicka, one of the organisers, along with Makayla Rudd and John Fowler, explained that last year they had been delivered to elderly folk in Penhill.
But this year they wanted to include the whole borough.
So they contacted Age Concern which was holding a party at the Haydon Centre in Haydon Wick.
"It was nice to be able to talk to them and hand the hampers over personally," she said.
In previous years the hampers had been given to the borough council to distribute.
