I REFER to the presence of two police officers at the entrance to the multi-storey car park in St Stephen's Place and the old Tesco car park last Friday.
The officers were distributing leaflets reminding motorists about leaving valuables on display in their vehicles. What is the police force coming to?
While one recognises that such reminders are necessary, particularly in the run-up to Christmas, surely there must have been a more cost-effective way of getting the message across than using two officers who could have been better deployed in catching villains.
I have just been the innocent victim of a speeding prosecution and told that nothing can be done until the offender is apprehended.
On Friday's evidence the police have got their priorities all wrong.
