Police negotiators have been praised for helping a man threatening to throw himself off the 75ft tower at Wiltshire Fire Brigade's training centre in Devizes.
The 29-year-old man, from Trowbridge, was persuaded to come down from the tower after four hours, at 8.30am on Tuesday.
Chief Inspector Ian Hobbs, of Wiltshire police, said: "Yet again it demonstrates the value of the training our negotiators receive and I congratulate the officers concerned."
