Highlight of this weekend's Wilts League programme is the clash between Premier Division rivals AFC Stratton and Wroughton at the Crosslink Centre, writes RAY BURROUGHS.
Wroughton have surrendered their home ground advantage with the prospect of playing at the Weir Field in danger of becoming a long-running saga.
Stef Kucynski's Stratton outfit had their game postponed last weekend and are looking forward to being in action on Saturday.
The Stratton boss said: "We are back to full strength with Phil Corcoran back in the line-up and we just have to keep winning our games.
"Wroughton have some good lads and they work hard so it's not going to be an easy game.
"We play some good football at times but if we were a bit more direct perhaps we could add to our tally of goals."
Wroughton, who were due to play a home game at Swindon Supermarine's ground last weekend saw the rain scupper their chances and are on their travels once again.
Another local clash will be at the Red House where Purton Reserves take on Chiseldon Castrol.
Purton, bolstered by a few members of the senior side, ran out 5-0 winners against Malmesbury Vics last weekend but may find some spirited opposition from Castrol who won their last league outing.
Cricklade boss Graham Jackson will be looking for more of the killer instinct from his side against Malmesbury Vics after dropping points against Aldbourne last weekend.
He felt his side took their foot off the pedal after taking an early lead and allowed Aldbourne back into the game.
Aldbourne are at home to Shrewton United Reserves and three points would be welcome for Pete Orsi's side who need to be a bit more consistent.
Marlborough Town travel to neighbours Pewsey Vale and will be hoping to stop a disastrous run of results that has seen them slip from third to seventh spot in the table.
The home side leaked 10 goals at Bradford last weekend and will need to put that defeat behind them.
League leaders Trowbridge Town travel to Melksham and should get a result unless the home outfit is bolstered by senior side players.
In Junior Division One, in-form Bromham are at home to Ferndale Rodbourne and the Swindon side could well threaten their unbeaten run that has been going since the end of August.
Wanborough United, three points behind leaders Trowbridge Town Reserves with a game in hand, visit Down Ampney and need to keep winning to pressurise the leaders.
Wootton Bassett United are handily placed in the table with games in hand.
They are at home to Aldbourne Reserves and also need to keep picking up the points.
League leaders Trowbridge Reserves are at home to Westside and on a good day the Swindon side could be difficult to beat.
Junior Division Two leaders New College visit the league's highest scorers Pinehurst OB and will have to be at their best.
Swindon Asians, in second spot, visit Chiseldon Castrol while Trax visit Minety and Blunsdon United Reserves, who are fourth, travel to play Blyskawica.
