THE numbers are a familiar sight in the Evening Advertiser each Saturday, nestled at the bottom of page 3.
Now North Swindon Lions are offering as many people as possible the chance to play the lottery calendar game, which raises money for local good causes.
This will be the fifth year of the calendar, which costs £4.80. There are prizes of £5 every working day, and £100 a month.
Lions president Roger Morcumb said: "Everything goes to deserving people in the Swindon area.
"The members give their time free of charge, and the lottery calendar is one of their annual fundraising schemes.
"You are not just buying a calendar but a chance to win, and in so doing support the needy.
"To make this a success we need to sell at least 1,000 calendars to plough back as much as possible into the community."
Calendars can be bought from Bevirs Solicitors in Regent Circus, Minuteman Press in Cricklade Road, Gorse Hill, the Lions charity shop in Highworth and John Samuel Hair and Beauty in Bridge Street.
