Christmas shoppers could be helping the Swindon Cancer Appeal without even realising it this weekend.
Visitors parking their car at the Great Western Designer Outlet Village will be swelling the coffers of our appeal.
That's because all money they pay to park at the 95-store shopping centre tomorrow and Sunday will be donated to the appeal.
To boost the donation, McArthurGlen bosses have chosen the last weekend before Christmas, which tends to be the busiest as last-minute shoppers flock to the stores to stock up on gifts.
Franco Muccini, centre manager at McArthurGlen, said: "We want to give the charity a Christmas boost so we've selected one of our busiest weekends and we'll be donating all monies to the Swindon Cancer Appeal that shoppers pay for parking here during the two days.
"There are almost 2,000 car parking spaces.
"We can comfortably fill each space several times during the day as people finish shopping and new visitors arrive.
Graziella Campisano, appeal manager, said: "The car park donation is a great way for us to complete this year's fundraising with McArthurGlen."
