STEVE WHITE collected his maiden managerial victory as Chippenham Town triumphed for the first time since October 4.
The Bluebirds came from behind to win 3-1 at Chelmsford City as the Town strikers finally found their shooting boots.
Chippenham started slowly as City's Gary McNee volleyed just wide in the fifth minute.
Simon Clarke then had an effort ruled out for handball before the hosts opened the scoring on 36 minutes.
Mark Hervin saved Garry Cross' effort but McGee bounced to knock in the rebound.
But Chippenham hit back a minute before the break when a failed clearance bounced off of Wes Faulkner and Adie Mings headed home.
With a strong wind in their favour, White's men dominated the second period.
The Town manager threw on Martin Paul to create a three-pronged attack and the ploy paid dividends.
The visitors took the lead on 64 minutes when Mings combined with Ian Herring to send Charlie Griffin clear and the Chippenham Cannonball finished with a clinical low drive from just inside the box.
Town effectively made the game safe with a carbon copy four minutes later.
Mings muscled his way past the Chelmsford defence and crossed for Griffin who teed up substitute Martin Paul to fire home from the same position his strike partner had moments earlier.
Chippenham's task was made easier when their opponents were reduced to 10 men in the closing stages.
Chelmsford goalkeeper Paul Nicholls was carried off after making a brave save at Gareth Davies' feet.
Despite the success, White's feet remained firmly on the ground.
He said: "It was nice to get the win and it could have been more at the end but I didn't think we played particularly well for the first hour.
"Hopefully we can build on the result against Weston on Boxing Day."
CHIPPENHAM: Hervin, Wilmot, Thorne, Herring, Gould, Robertson, Edwards, O'Halloran, Mings, Griffin, Allison.
Subs: Davies, Towler, Paul, Green, Badman.
MIDFIELDER Mark Harrington has completed a move to Screwfix League Paulton Rovers.
White could fill the void by signing ex-Bristol Rovers midfielder Lewis Hogg who has been training at Hardenhuish for the past week.
