THE North Wilts League's representative teams swept aside their Cirencester counterparts in a double header at the Corinium Stadium on Wednesday night.
Both the under 14 and under 15 teams ran out comfortable winners against their rivals from the Ciren Youth League.
The under 14 game began in erratic fashion in difficult playing conditions.
It took a goal from Stuart Pike midway through the first half to settle the North Wilts side down but they soon let Cirencester back in as some sloppy defending led to an equaliser.
Bobby Amos and James Chandler then grabbed two goals each to hand North Wilts a comfortable 5-1 win.
The under 15 outfit fared even better, winning 7-1.
Lee Curtis put North Wilts 1-0 up at half-time and the second period was one-way traffic with Rory Sproule bagging four and Steve Large and James Baldwin also on target.
In a reduced league programme at the weekend, Highworth went top of the under 13 section with a 3-1 win over Croft.
Marcus Fylan-Smith, Jack Duckers and Mike Bowles secured the points for the league leaders.
AN already thin Cirencester & District League programme was decimated further by the weather.
In one game that did get the go ahead, Cirencester Juniors defeated Malmesbury 5-0 in the under 13s cup.
