New Century WMC progressed into the third round of the Sunday League's Knockout Cup after defeating Nationwide Life 6-2.

Andrew Walsh struck four times and there was a goal apiece from Liam Preedy and Kevin Dunn to ease New Century through.

In the Chairman's trophy, Mckenzies from Division Five won 5-2 at Division Three side Motorola with Neil Matthews, Lee Morse, Darren Parsons and Perminder Johal (2) all netting.

With the Division One programme rained off elsewhere, it was left to the lower sections to take centre stage.

Division TWO

Alanbrooke reversed their 2-1 defeat by leaders Innogy Holdings from two weeks ago by winning with the same scoreline.

Martin Dunn and Darren Cardus hit the target and Carl Davies replied for Holdings.

Lying one point behind are Penhill United who cruised to a 7-1 home win over Thamesdown CS Nalgo. Sam Reason with a hat-trick, Gary Hill, Chris Hughes and a Lee Francome double leaves United in contention.

Swindon West Indians destroyed Dynamo Ashton 9-1 thanks to a Jerry Wright four-timer, Manjit Lal, Devon McAlla, Jimmy Wright and Ashraf Ali with a double.

Athletico beat Innogy 6-2 and Plough Highworth secured their second win of the season with a 2-1 home triumph over Pewsey Saints.

Division THREE

Mark Wells put South Marston 1-0 up against leaders Green Baize before the Baize got their act together to go 3-1 up.

Matt Hodey then scored late on for the hosts to make the final score 3-2. A Dave Jones hat-trick gave Mallard a 3-2 home win over Wanborough.

Division FOUR

A Dave Heskett double and a penalty from Ash Channing could not prevent leaders Southbrook Inn from going down to a 5-3 home defeat by Campbell James.

Matt Wheeler, Rob Campbell and Alan Carvey with a hat-trick scored for the winners.

Windmill were 3-1 behind at home to Queensfield but hit back to eventually triumph 5-4. Ross Kelly, Tony White, Simon Lowe and a Gary Seward double saw Windmill through.

Jeff Hulance put High Street 1-0 up at Suffolk Arms before Suffolk went 3-2 up, but Mick Wootton scored late on to make it 3-3. Andy Hedges, Tony Sollis and Paul Hughes scored the Suffolk goals.

Division FIVE

G & F Bricklaying slipped up 2-1 at home to Penetrators with Lee Porter scoring.

A Ben Taylor goal in each half gave Grapes a 2-2 draw at ISSC whose scorers were Jason Lyne and Andy Hannath.

Division six

A Ben Dickens double gave WS One a 2-0 win over 419ers to return to the top spot. Chesters won 3-1 at Longs.

Kingsdown United beat Swindon City 5-1 with one for Matt Dunn, a hat-trick for Ian Davies and an own goal. Intermach made an astute tactical switch in their match at Actebis when they played keeper Chris Norman out on the pitch and he duly fired a treble in a 5-3 win.

Division SEVEN

Goals from Neil Woodings and Matt Geraghty gave Blueprint a 2-1 win at Horse & Jockey.

Steve Blackwell replied for the home side with a spot kick.

Moredon Cheney had a welcome 5-1 home win against WH Smith with goals for Gary Gleed, Matthew Taylor and one each for Ashley, Nick and Paul Dodson. Mick Pearson scored for WH Smith.
