AMESBURY Town's goalscoring form continued apace as they put four past Stockbridge, completing a league double over their local rivals with a 4-3 win on Saturday, writes Ryan Lovejoy and Tanya Tilbury.
Steve Witt, on loan from Salisbury City, put the hosts ahead on 25 minutes, but Alan Heaton levelled soon before half time.
Lee Cunningham gave the Blues the lead on 55 minutes following a neat one-two with Carl Barnett.
Two Spencer headers, on 75 and 76 minutes, turned the game in Stockbridge's favour but Town were not finished, as Steve Reeves showed by nodding in Luke Guyton's corner two minutes into stoppage time.
There was yet another twist as Cunningham finished off a clever passing move to seal the game for Amesbury.
They also took three points at home to Ringwood Town last Tuesday with a convincing 4-0 victory.
A Reeves penalty and second half goals from Neil Sole, Barnett and Heaton sent the New Forest side home with nothing to show.
Ringwood's fixture at Andover New Street on Saturday was one of many postponed due to the inclement weather. They are at Poole Town on Saturday, while Amesbury entertain basement boys AFC Aldermaston.
DOWNTON are out of the Sydenhams Wessex League Cup after a 2-0 defeat to old rivals Bemerton Heath Harlequins at Wick Lane last Tuesday.
Mark Daubney and Jason Ahmet netted for the Harlequins who now meet Thatcham Town at home in the next round.

SHREWTON United succumbed to a 2-1 defeat despite dominating their Screwfix Direct Western League Division One match at home to Chard Town.
The Shrews went 1-0 down in the opening half, but Michael Brownless' secured the equaliser on the stroke of half time.
However, a late breakaway led to Chard securing the winner in the final five minutes.
"It just wasn't our day," said disappointed Shrews boss, Stuart Withers.
"I thought we played well, we just did not get the result."
Shrewton entertain Westbury United on Boxing Day at the recreation ground, kicks off at 12pm.
