CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE: SOMERFORD edged home 2-1 against their Division Two rivals Spencer Sports in a thrilling Rainbow Launderette sponsored WG Parr Trophy tie, with Chris Yeo volleying home Somerford's winner minutes from time.
Royston Aust gave Spencers the lead only for Gavin Klukowski to level matters with a brilliant strike.
Just as it was looking if the game would be going into extra-time Yeo struck his spectacular winner.
It was a great reversal of fortunes for Somerford who had already been soundly beaten 5-1 and 4-2 by Spencers in their two league meetings.
Corsham Centre, conquerors of cup holders Maud Heath Sports in the last round, were involved in the tie of the round against fellow Second Division side North Bradley and it was the youngsters of Corsham who emerged 3-2 winners.
The Centre were 2-1 down with just two minutes remaining, but they stormed back and stunned Bradley with two goals at the death to claim an amazing victory.
Simon Grey cancelled out Aaron Salter's opener for Bradley, but Bradley took the lead when Jack Heard netted following a good cross from Simon Lunt. Bradley looked to be heading into the next round until Craig Gingell struck in the 88th minute and with extra time looming it was left to Centre's man of the match Simon Grey to hit the winner.
Last term's beaten finalists Four Seasons are once again looking a good bet to go all the way to the final after bringing to an end Trowbridge Harriers' interest in the competition.
The First Division Harriers went down 5-1 to the Third Division high flyers, with Paul Maddoxs (2, one penalty), Steve Hunt, Jason Richie and Jason Cole sharing the Seasons' goals.
Second Division North Star A remain unbeaten in all competitions after they disposed of Wingfield who suffered their first loss in five outings.
Goals from Dale Smith (2), Tommy Ludford and Pete Thornton earned the Star a 4-2 victory over their First Division opponents.
Division One strugglers West End Wanderers are now putting all their efforts into winning the WG Parr Trophy and after crushing Old Road Tavern, who are 33 places below them in the league, no one will bet against them achieving their aim.
Dave Macey bagged five of Wanderers' goals from their 10-0 win, with Lee Randell (2) Leon Rockley, Colin Garbutt and Nathan Mantle bagging the others.
Colerne FC, who lifted the cup in 2002, had to work hard before overcoming Sutton Benger 2-0, Steve Tarren and Dave Graham scoring the all important goals.
Previous winners Chippenham Sports and Social Club, who raised the silverware in 2001 as Chippenham Black Horse, ended the dreams of Third Division outfit Hare and Hounds. The First Division side won 6-2, with Gary Blackwood scoring two and Leyton Brown, on his return to the side after injury, hitting the other four. This was after Tim Wootton had put the Hounds in front. Gary Wootton netted the Hounds' other consolation.
Premier Division
SHERSTON Town continue to dominate the Premier Division table of the Vanitec Computers-sponsored Chippenham Sunday League.
Sherston had the perfect Christmas present as their 3-0 win over fellow title contenders Box Rovers saw them move six points clear of the leading sides below them.
Two phenomenal free kicks from Andy Wicks plus James Higgs' second goal of the campaign saw Sherston move to within touching distance of their first title win.
Sherston, who in the guise of Malmesbury Victoria and Kings Arms (Malmesbury), finished as runners-up to Percy's last term and behind Cooper-Avon Rangers in 2000, will only have themselves to blame if they fail to lift the silverware.
Bottom of the table Winsley were unable to repeat the heroics of last weekend that saw them defeat Terry's FC 3-2.
Their visit to All Cannings saw them return home pointless after they were defeated 4-1. Nick Oram put the hosts ahead with a delightful chip in the sixth minute. Gary Higdon equalised after 28 minutes but only minutes later Cannings regained the lead through Tony Greenidge who headed home Gary Hiscocks' corner.
Hiscocks got on the score sheet in the 55th minute with an excellent run which began inside his own half before he finished superbly to make it 3-1. Oram completed the scoring with his second of the game in the 75th minute.
The 10 men of Hullavington battled bravely before losing 2-1 against West Lavington. John Crook (Hullavington) and Simon Drewitt (Lavington) traded goals before Drewitt hit his eighth of the season midway through the second period to earn Lavington their sixth win in the top flight.
Struggling Calne Town ran The Duke Corsham close before losing 2-1 to a very late Frank Rogers goal. The Duke were made to pay for early missed chances when Stuart McMillan broke clear and curled a shot around Craig Chaplin in the Duke's goal.
Calne led for almost 70 minutes and when the Corsham side eventually found their way to creating an equaliser it came route one when Chaplin's huge punt up field fell kindly for Duke skipper Darran Hughes whose half volley tied the scores.
At the end Calne looked to be hanging on for a point until Jamie Rowe's telling cross was headed home by Rogers to leave Calne still looking for their first win in 12 attempts.
Division One
BOTH Atworth United and Biddestone Social wasted a host of chances before Biddestone ran out 4-3 winners.
Rob Pocock's opener for Biddestone was erased by Craig Smith but when Danny Jones, James Tindell and Paul Poiner all scored to give Biddestone a commanding 4-1 advantage it looked all over for Atworth.
Dan Adams and then Mike Adams struck to reduce the gap to one but it proved not to be enough as Biddestone held onto the two points that moved them five points clear of second placed Maud Heath Sports.
Chippenham Police's goal-less draw with The George Lacock moved the boys in blue off the foot of the table for the first time this season.
In a game of very few chances Lacock goalkeeper Steve King produced a couple of fine stops late on to deny the Police a match winner.
Division Two
HOLT FC took full advantage of North Star A's and North Bradley's cup commitments to leapfrog over their rivals and into second place behind Corsham Centre with a 7-1 win over Biddestone.
Biddestone, who could only muster 10 players, grabbed a consolation goal through Lee Scutter.
Scott Evans' third hat-trick of the season was not enough to save Christian Malford from losing 8-4 away at Southwick Sports.
Steve Ivin (4), Steve Jackson, Carl Davies and Dan Alford scored to put Southwick 7-0 up before Malford came back into the game with Evans' treble. Carl Davies made it 8-3 before Mark Golledge added a fourth for Malford.
Division Three
TROWBRIDGE Town Supporters' Club travelled to Goatacre and despite working up a four goal lead they were left fuming as the match was abandoned five minutes into the second half as their hosts Bradstone Rovers ran out of players.
Things started badly for Bradstone as they kicked off 30 minutes late and with only eight men and although they went up to 10 they were back down to nine following the dismissal of Carl Lovelock. Gary Lovelock was next to leave the field when he walked off and just before half-time they lost the injured Steve Giles.
At this stage Trowbridge were 3-0 up, with goals from Steve Munday (2) and Chris Rawlings, and Bradstone were down to seven players. After the restart Munday completed his treble but soon after Bradstone's Liam Westland limped out of the action, which left referee Nigel Wyatt with no other option than to abandon the game.
Adam O'Keefe scored Sir Audley's Arms' consolation as they were put to the sword by second in the table Parsons Nose, who ran out 11-1 victors.

Paul Whale was on target with the Horse's first goal.
KSM twice led against Fascia Graphics, thanks to a double from John Little, but at the final whistle is was Graphics that emerged victorious as goals from Jamie Farquharson, Mark Smith and Rob Preston saw the claim a 3-2 win, with Preston netting the vital goal three minutes from time.
