WE are a wealthy country. Hence the gap between the Government supplement to the council tax and what the district council can reasonably ask for from its citizens.
Wealth is controlled by business of all sorts, both large and small. But the creation of this wealth is generated by its citizens; who play no part in its fair distribution.
To bridge this gap all that needs to be done is to increase the business or corporation tax.
Remember, wealth is created through the blood and toil and tears and sweat of our citizens.
Therefore, it is fair and just for our people to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
