A toymaker from Bratton has donated his last ever toys to three children after burglars stole their Christmas presents.
Harry Cooper retired from toymaking after the West Wilts Show in August, but stepped in to help when he heard how Chloe, four, Luis, three and four-month-old Jack, of North Bradley, were left without any gifts when thieves broke into their grandmother's Swindon home.
He said: "I saw on the news that someone had stolen all the presents from this lady and I thought, 'Well, I don't need these any more'."
Mum Sarah Darling said: "It was simply horrible. My mother had been saving up
all year to buy the
presents. She was devastated.
"We tried to hide the wooden toys but it is very difficult to disguise a giant seesaw.
"Since Harry kindly gave the toys to the kids they haven't stopped using them my daughter is loving using the ironing board."
The Christmas presents stolen included a seesaw, a rocking horse, a chalkboard and a scooter.
