A MOBILE shredding unit will be helping households to say goodbye to Christmas in the new-year.
The shredder takes old Christmas trees, and will be travelling to all five of the west Wiltshire towns from January 5.
Cllr Richard Wiltshire, district council environmental services portfolio holder, said: "Disposing of your old Christmas tree can sometimes be difficult, which is why we are offering this shredding service.
"The details of these sessions, together with the opening times of the household waste recycling centres, are on our website, so people need to check."
The Christmas tree shredder will be open from 8am-3pm at the King Street car park Melksham on January 5.
It will then travel to the station car park, Bradford on Avon, on January 6, followed by the Upper Broad Street car park, Trowbridge, the next day, then the High Street car park, Westbury, finishing at the central car park, Warminster, on January 10.
