A FAMILY have moved back into their home in time for Christmas three weeks after it was damaged by fire.
West Wiltshire Housing Society made a special effort to repair a terraced house in Boreham Field, Warminster, to ensure its tenants could enjoy festivities.
A man and woman, thought to be in their 40s, were rescued from the blaze by paramedics, who, using a neighbour's ladder, climbed up to the first floor window and pulled them out.
Housing society spokesman Ellie Phillips said: "Ninety-five per cent of the damage has been repaired. One room is not done because it was severely damaged, but every effort has been made to get them back in for Christmas.
"Nobody wants to be in a temporary place for Christmas, even if it is with friends and family."
