STUDENTS from St Laurence School in Bradford on Avon have been rewarded for their hard work at an A-level presentation evening attended by the Bishop of Ramsbury.
The Right Rev Peter Hullah presented certificates and prizes to last year's A-level students at a ceremony in the Wiltshire Music Centre last Wednesday.
Assistant headteacher Mark James said: "The students returning for the A-level certificates achieved outstanding results in their summer exams.
"With a 99 per cent pass rate and half the grades at A or B the students' results again put
St Laurence in The Sunday Times Top 500 Schools."
Nine St Laurence pupils gained straight As in their exams and many of last year's leavers were at the ceremony, marking the beginning of the Christmas holidays after their first term at university.
Mr James said: "This is an annual celebration of success and also a social occasion when students and parents can meet one another again and share experiences of the last few months."
Local author Miles Kington was the guest of honour at a GCSE presentation evening on December 3.
