ELDERLY people who live alone can get help from Swindon Council's mobile wardens.
Trained staff from Homeline are on hand 24 hours a day and can be alerted with the touch of a button.
They can get in contact with a relative or a friend if required or provide assistance when there is a problem.
The scheme offers a variety of monitors, which can be easily fixed in the home.
These can range from panic buttons by the front door to pendants, which people can wear around the neck.
The initiative costs £3.38 a week. For more information call Swindon Council on 01793 464430.
