IMAGES of exotic blooms will remain on display until the end of January at the Great Western Hospital, Swindon.
Photographer Boo Beaumont has used the unusual technique of X-raying rare flowers, especially purchased from London's Covent Garden.
Boo, who lives in Marlborough and used facilities at the hospital, said: "My aim in making these images is to convey the beguiling beauty of each flower by exploring the delicate surface, texture, rhythmical shapes of line and form."
Boo has taught portrait photography at the University of Bath in Swindon for the past two and a half years.
She received public acclaim for her exhibition entitled Remarkable Women, which included portraits of Mother Theresa, Betty Boothroyd and Mary Quant.
The National Portrait Gallery has subsequently bought 12 of her works.
Her x-ray exhibition will run until January 30.
The hospital's gallery space is on the ground floor and is open to the public from 6pm to 8pm from Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm at the weekend.
