It will cost at least £30,000 a year to keep Ian Huntley alive. If he lives another 40 years that's well over a million pounds!
Surely this money should be put to better use than keeping this revolting creature alive?
Even his own mother says he should be put down. That money would be better spent compensating the victims of crime. We also read that Maxine Carr must be given a new identity and a home abroad to protect her from the outraged public.
This woman brazenly lied to cover for Huntley, and she should suffer for it, even if the legal system has failed to give an adequate sentence.
